FAQ

1. Is Figma Motion free?

Figma Motion comes with a Figma seat, with limits. Exports above 1920 x 1080 or above 30 FPS need a paid plan, and Starter seats get limited motion access.

2. What are the limitations of Figma Motion?

Figma Motion exports four formats: MP4, WebM, GIF and SVG. Lottie, React Native and Flutter are not among them. Shape morphing interaction is not part of the exported file either, so hover, click and scroll behavior gets written in code after handoff.

3. Is there a motion plugin for Figma?

Yes. The SVGator plugin for Figma is free, and it covers the part Figma Motion does not: turning a design into a production-ready animated file in any format you need. You animate in SVGator, then the plugin drops the finished SVG, Lottie, React Native or Flutter file back into your Figma project. Developers pull it from Dev Mode without an SVGator account of their own.

4. How do I export animations from Figma Motion?

Figma Motion exports MP4, WebM, GIF and SVG. Dev Mode also copies the animation as CSS, JSON or React code, though the React export assumes the Motion library is already installed in your project. SVGator exports the same video formats plus Lottie, APNG, WebP, React Native and Flutter, all from one project.

5. Can I import my Figma designs into SVGator?

Yes. Copy a frame as SVG and paste it in. All your layers survive the import.
