Supported file format

The SVG file must be a static one without any animation attributes. Compressed SVG file formats like SVGZ are not supported.

If you would like to add images, you can embed them into an SVG file.

SVGator will import your SVG with the elements and grouped elements right as you’ve exported them from your editing tool. However, you will find different export options in each tool. If you notice a change in your file after you import it, please try using other export options or send us the file at contact@svgator.com .

With SVGator, you can also create a static SVG file from scratch and animate it right away so it’s not necessary to use a third-party vector graphics editor.

If you still decide to create the SVG file in a third-party tool, the most recommended SVG editors are Adobe Illustrator and Sketch.
