Admin vs. Member Rights In Team Management

Team Admins can add or remove seats at any time during the billing cycle. When a new seat is added, a prorated amount will be charged for the remaining time in the current cycle. If a seat is removed, the change will only take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Removing a Team Member does not automatically reduce the number of purchased seats. The subscription will still renew for the original number of seats unless the Team Admin manually adjusts the seat count in the My Account section.

If a member is removed, no credits or refunds are issued. However, the Team Admin can replace the removed member with someone new at no extra cost.

Rights Of A Team Owner (Admin) = Team Owner/admin Roles: Subscription And Project Management

  • The Team Owner is also the Team Admin and has full control over the subscription and team management. He decides who will join the team.
  • The Team Admin has access to billing options and invoices.
  • The Team Admin can upgrade or downgrade the Team Plan by adding or removing members at any time during the billing cycle.
  • The Team Admin can also remove a shared project from the team, effectively managing projects within the team. For example, if a Team Member shares a project accidentally, the Team Admin can remove it from the shared projects list.
Note: This action does not delete the project from the project owner's account; it only removes it from the team's shared workspace.

Rights Of A Team Member = Team Member Roles: Project Access And Collaboration

  • Team Members have access to the shared workspace and collaborative tools.
  • Each Team Member has the option to share their own projects with the Team, but it is not mandatory.
  • Team Members don’t have billing or seat management privileges.
  • When a project is shared with the team, members with Edit access can make changes to it—just not simultaneously, as real-time collaboration isn’t available yet. If someone prefers not to modify the original project, they can use the 'Copy & Edit' option to work on their own version. By default, this copied project won’t be shared with the team.

How Does Team Member Management Work?

A Team Plan is created and managed by the Team Admin, who is the only one authorized to invite or remove members, as well as to add or remove seats from the team.

Who Can Invite A Team Member?

The Team Admin can invite anyone to join the team by entering a valid email address. The invited person will receive an email invitation and, if they don’t already have an account, they will need to sign up before joining the team.

As A Team Admin, Can I Add More Team Members During A Billing Cycle?

Yes, you can add new members at any time during the billing cycle by increasing the number of seats in the My Account section.

Please note that you will only be charged a prorated amount for each new seat, based on the remaining time in your current billing cycle.

Can I Replace Team Members During A Billing Cycle?

Yes, you can replace Team Members at any time during the billing cycle without changing the number of seats in your team. Replacing a removed member with a new one won’t affect your current subscription because the number of seats is not affected.

Can I Reduce The Number Of Seats During A Billing Cycle?

Yes, you can remove members at any time during the billing cycle; however, you will not receive any credits or refunds for the removed seats.

Please note that removing a member does not automatically reduce the number of seats in your subscription. To actually reduce the number of seats, go to the My Account section and make the adjustment there. The change will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
